Absolutely Fabulous Fringing!
When I heard that Fringing was going to be a Trend for this year – I must admit, I immediately decided that I was not going to be a fan.
Visions of old fashioned sofas with heavy bullion fringe skirts – were definitely on par with crochet loo-roll covers in my mind. However, after seeing a few tasteful tassels appearing in the interior magazines, I wanted to discover if this trend really did have some appeal.
Well, I had quite a hunt to find the fringing and not suprisingly there are more fringed lampshade and lighting than furniture. But, I was quite amazed when I discovered the Moooi Amami sofas by Lorenza Bozzoli. I loved this new contemporary fringing !
The Contemporary fringe is long and delicate and maybe a bit too fancy for most people, but it was just crying out to be featured on a Style&Co mood board. Ok, so it may be a bit of an OTT, a mood board with full on fringing – but I just wanted to have some fun! If you are a real fringing tend-setter and want to give this a go – then probably just go for one piece – the sofa, the lights, or the mirror.

Couture Orange Pouf
I do love the elegance of this furniture. The long fringing with it’s graduated ombre tones is beautiful. The furniture is designed by Italian designer Lorenza Bozzoli and is available at 1stdibs
Munna armchair
Josephine chair
Other sources for fringed upholstery include Munna . Where you can find this layer fringe arm chair with matching sofa and Oliver Bonas where you will be able to find the Josephine velvet chair.
LIGHTING
Ce wall light
Hans-Agnes Jakobsson pendants
Copper Dust chandelier shade
There are some great fringed lamps around at the moment. The Ce fringed wall lamp looks so unique. It combines Bronze and Rayon to produce this wonderful flowing design. Is it just me, or do you just want to run your hand through that gorgeous fringing? Another great fringe creation are these of 1960’s Hans-Agnes Jakobsson pendants. All of these fringed lovlies I found at 1stdibs
I also wanted include this fabulous handmade Volta Chandelier Shade by Venessa Agyemang from Copper Dust. I discovered Vanessa at The London Design Festival. I was impressed by her colourful range of patterned/fringed shades, which she is also able to customise for your requirements.
MIRROR
Venus mirror
Nappa small fringed Mirror
Yet again with mirrors, my best find was at 1stdibs – the Venus GoldLeaf frame was a perfect match. Other fringed frames were found at Oliver Bonas.
RUG & WALLPAPER
Misty Rug
This rug called Misty from The RugCompany echoes the indigo ombre design of the sofa fringing, with a soft pile in bamboo silk.
To carry on with the Ombre theme the wallpaper was a find on Etsy.
