We love this print by designer Petronella Hall. To find a beautiful tropical print in Blue and grey just fired our imagination.  So, on our Tropical moodboards we are showing one design, two different colours and two totally different styles.

So are you loving Hygge and wanting a chilled out retreat ?  Or do you love bright colours and want to go for a vibrant holiday home ?

This Tropical print in grey I must say is my favourite.  I love that combination of pale greys and bright fushia. As this colour option has a relaxed chic feel to it I couldn’t resist giving is a cool Hygge Style mix for the moodboard. For a restful snug, a sophisticated dining room or a calming bedroom this look is just heavenly.

The Little House of Hygge  was a great place to shop Hygge and I found a great selection for the moodboard.  Their woollen cushion below was by Shepheard of Sweden and comes in Granite and Creme.  The water hyacinth cube basket are beautiful and sold individually or as a set of 3. They look so good, I think I would find something to store in them,  just to have them on show.  Another item I love is their Knitted throw.  The Merino wool Yarnscombe throw by Lauren Aston comes in two sizes.  These big Knits really add that cosy feel to a room.

On my hunt for Hygge style furniture this white-washed shelf unit was a great find at Maisons du Monde  . Finding Hygge style upholstrey is no problem. You will find any comfy sofa or chair in a simple style and natural fabric will go.  I decided to go for this mid-century style armchair in a grey linen from Love Your Home .

The rattan pendant from Cox and Cox is a real tropical hygge mix with natural materials and a cool shade of grey .

Welcome to Club Tropicana with the second of our moodboard style-mixes.  The bright blues of this Tropical design by Petronella Hall shouts out to be given a real summer vibe.  We’ve mixed Retro styling with 70’s room dividers and rattan seating.  Bright accessories with a house plant revival.

You will be spoilt for choice with the range of contemporary/retro rattan furniture at Cox and Cox .  I love both the single and two seater in the style.  I also chose their carved wooden side table with fashionable hair-pin legs – but there are also a selection of rattan tables to choose from.

Anthropologie have a great range of ‘Blooming Botanical’ accessories.  I have had these plates in mind for quite a while now and on their own are a brilliant inspiration for a moodboard.   They look too good for hiding in the cupboard – display them in a group on the wall .  Zara Home have a fun range of brightly coloured glass and I have probably been a bit restrained by opting for this cool blue.  For a great selection of plain brightly coloured cushions in cotton and silk John Lewis is a good destination. They had so many great colours that I did have to restrain myself from adding them all.
